-Obstructive -due to obesity
-Central-due to genetic defect of respiratory drive
-Combinated.
Symptoms:
-insomnia at night& sleepiness at daytime
-condition is aggravated by sedatives given for treatment of insomnia due to further suppression or respiration
-snoring
-cynosis may occur
